Everyday Blacks

Tube Dress: Osmose Stores

Black Top: Hyphen The Label
Double Breasted Jacket: Review Australia
Basic Black T-shirt: Zara
Denim Skirt: Ohsofickle

Another week in blacks and a month till I officially begin work life. My obsession with black is getting out of hand as you can see.

Have been thoroughly soaking in the luxury of time I've had so far to 'recuperate', relax, and enjoy some much needed time to myself. Nevertheless, I'm looking forward to finally start this new phase of my life. It'll definitely be a struggle juggling between my full-time job and Instagram/ Blogging, but I'll try to see how I can balance these two important aspects of my life... Catch you soon. x

Low Effort, High Impact

White Cybele Top, Twenty3
Black Margot Culottes, Twenty3
Sling Bag, Shopkysse
White Lace-up Sandals, Charles&Keith

Black Tara Top, Twenty3
Megan Tulle Skirt - The Classic, Jenesyss

Yes, I'm back to blacks & whites... Decided to go with two contrasting outfits for the weekends.

Outfit #1: The culotte has been BIG this year. I can say with full conviction that it is the perfect pant for a lounging around in. If you're a sucker for comfort and want to do away with the hassle of tailoring in this unbearable Singapore heat, culottes will definitely come in handy. The wide-leg, voluminous bottom makes this pair super versatile for styling up (with a pointy pump) or down (with sneakers or sandals) whenever you feel like it. I decided to go with a comfy large-collared shirt. Call me boring, but I don't think I can ever deviate away from my closet staples.

Outfit #2: Decided to mix up off-shoulder tops with full skirts. Frankly, it was war with the merciless, scorching sun that day. But you know, some days, we girls love to glam things up with rich satin fabrics and lustrous full skirts. However, if you'd like a simple 'low-effort, high-impact' look,  throw on a T-shirt with a fancy skirt like this one. I guarantee, you'll stop someone in their tracks. xx

Ladylike

Deviating from pants, jeans, and basically separates this weekend. I'm wearing a blue, yes blue, neoprene dress with delicate mesh details this lovely Sunday. Finally... Some 'colour' in my wardrobe. If I'm honest, I was never a big fan of the mermaid/trumpet midi skirt. My figure - or lack thereof - never justified its purchase. Furthermore, I was never someone to be associated with the word feminine. But I'm sure you'll agree, the mesh cutouts do kind of enhance something of that sort....

I know, I'm late to the Spring/Summer 2014 trend. Well, I was never a sucker for trends anyways. I do believe a good touch of femininity, edge, sophistication, should do me good before I officially enter the workforce in a month's time. I must add that however polished I look, it was definitely one of the most comfortable dresses I've worn this year. If you'd like, I do have a 10% discount... 'CLAUDIA10'... that lasts till Jul 31. You can check it out here.

Yesterday, someone dear told me: "If we could live to 80, do you realise we'd only have approximately 20,000 days left." Food for thought. June well spent, July here I come! x
